Our sweet Lady left us on April 8, 2022. I had her as a young adult and she saw me through moving, dating, marrying my husband, having my son, and the list goes on. I remember the day I picked her up from the rescue group. I had to drive over an hour away. I didn’t know where she should sit in the car, so I put her in the back seat. I remember thinking “Wow, this dog is so quiet back there!” When I finally got off the highway and was able to turnaround and check on her, she had the handle of grocery bag wrapped around her neck. I thought “Oh Lord! Day 1 and I’m failing as a pet-parent”. I quickly found out that was just her curious nature. She was our little protector! She loved being held like a baby and I’ve never met anyone who enjoyed snacks more than myself. She was a “talker” and would let you know when she wanted something. She was so amazing with my son too. They were best buddies until the very end. We’ll cherish our memories always and miss her everyday.
