New Vision, New Mission, New Strategic Plan

The new year brings feelings of reflection and hope as we embrace another year of service and partnership with veterinary professionals and pet owners throughout Texas. Looking back through 2019, the Texas Veterinary Medical Foundation (TVMF) celebrated many accomplishments and blessings—none of which would have been possible without our friends and donors. 

In 2019, we completed work on a new strategic plan for TVMF. This has been an exciting opportunity to assess the strength of our current programs, explore new ways to help Texans care for their pets and plan to ensure the sustainability of our efforts. The new strategic plan will officially launch in July 2020, and we are excited about the renewed focus and continued growth this plan promises. As TVMF continues to grow, we know we will be called on to do more for our community, and we plan to be ready to rise to that challenge.

STRATEGIC PLAN 2020-2023

The Texas Veterinary Medical Foundation (TVMF) is a nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization in Texas that leverages veterinary partnerships and financial resources in order to promote and improve the well-being of animals and supports the veterinary profession by providing financial assistance in times of crisis advocating responsible pet ownership and connecting veterinarians with opportunities to serve their communities.

TVMF strives to ensure the well-being of all animals in Texas by supporting the veterinary profession, educating the public and providing aid for pets in need.

Clarify brand and achieve optimal visibility and reputation throughout the state through ongoing and informed marketing and communication efforts.

Explore the development of new programming while expanding and improving existing programs in line with available resources.

Seek out and develop new mutually beneficial partnerships while maintaining and stewarding existing ones.

Secure stable, diverse and adequate funding to attain organizational goals.

Invest resources in developing both the board and staff while ensuring the necessary governance oversight and policies are in place to ensure optimal organizational effectiveness.
